Pros and cons of Grammarly
Pros
Grammarly provides proper explanation for every error that is found in your document and it also gives suggestions to correct your errors and make your document a better one. Documents, when entered in the software, can be analyzed contextually and based on a particular genre of writing such as academic, casual, business, technical and more. Grammarly has its own dictionary and thesaurus and uses it to scan your texts and mark all the words that can be changed with better words to make your text a stronger and richer one. If you use a pc as main writing machine, Grammarly provides an extension for web browsers to check your documents. Grammarly is also compatible with MS Word and Outlook and it works without internet for these plug-ins. [irp][irp]
Cons
In the case of proofreading, there are some contexts that go unnoticed after the completion of analysis by Grammarly. Hence you have to proofread your articles even after Grammarly’s proofreading. You must select the proper genre for your document to get the best analysis. You have to be aware and know when to accept suggestions made by the software. Customer service is not a very strong point of the company based on the reviews from the users. [irp][irp]
